Training Code of Conduct

We expect all of our staff and visitors to behave in a polite and professional manner when visiting our schools and Academies; the expectations are set out below.

Dress code

Our training sessions are held in a range of schools and Academies and include opportunities to engage with students, interact with teachers and other members of staff. We ask that you dress professionally in smart business attire to align with the expectations we have for our staff and students. Casual wear such as jeans, leggings, shorts or trainers are not appropriate attire.

We ask that you plan your journey and aim to arrive ahead of the training start time to avoid disrupting sessions and arriving late. In addition to this, we ask that you turn off or ‘silence’ your mobile phone and keep it out of sight to be respectful to our facilitators and other members of the group during the training session. If you need to make or receive phone calls or messages, please do so during the breaks. To enable us to continue to uphold our behaviour policies, please take care to make or receive unavoidable phone calls or messages discretely, out of the view of students.

Working with others

Our aim is to foster a safe learning environment in which participants feel comfortable to raise concerns and explore issues. We ask you to be respectful and considerate to our facilitators and other participants by refraining from using inappropriate language or making comments that could be deemed offensive or disrespectful to others. We also ask that you maintain confidentiality with your group and avoid sharing personal or sensitive information about others outside the learning environment.

It is our policy to keep the students and young people in our care safe from harm. If you have a concern about a young person’s safety or well-being, please inform the training assistant or the facilitator immediately. You will receive safeguarding guidance on arrival.
