Pavan Chandhoke
Associate Vice Principal and Facilitator

Background

With her teaching experience rooted in South-East London, Pavan is dedicated to developing teaching and learning; ultimately improving the quality of education for the children of London. She has a record of outstanding results in the establishments she has taught in and has worked with various stakeholders in order to achieve this. A former subject lead in subjects ranging from Physical Education to Literacy, Head of Key Stage 2 and Assistant Principal, Pavan has been responsible for developing staff’s knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning spanning the primary curriculum.

Role within Harris Federation

Formally the lead for Initial Teacher Training in the primary phase, Pavan is responsible for supporting a consistent and continuous academy-wide focus on high standards of achievement; creating and maintaining an ethos which promotes outstanding teaching, effective learning, and a culture of challenge and support.

Key Achievements

Working as part of a team to improve an inadequate school to outstanding in 21 months. The first three terms saw a dramatic increase in results from 65% to 94% combined 4b for English and Maths. The results continued at 94%, a perfect platform on which to base an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. Pavan worked with a dedicated team under excellent leadership to bring positive, meaningful change for children.

Harris Facilitator

Trained to facilitate the National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML). She has been credited as being an outstanding facilitator, and can deliver the Outstanding Teacher Programme (OTP) and Improving Teacher Programme (ITP) across the Federation.
