David facilitates the NPQSL module 'Leading for Teaching & Curriculum Excellence' and the NPQH module 'Leading for Teaching & Curriculum Excellence 1' and believes in providing timely, well-informed CPD alongside the space and time to reflect, digest and then make informed decisions.

David has been teaching for over 20 years and has held various leadership positions before being appointed Principal at Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley. This is now one of the most successful schools in the country; outstanding in every category and with a Progress 8 score that is amongst the top 1% of schools in the country. Over the course of his time in schools, he has realised that if a Year 7 joining the school in September does not understand how it works by the end of the first day, it is too complicated! Indeed ‘simple is normally best.’

David believes that whilst it is possible to lead a happy and successful life without the benefits that come from having gone to an outstanding school, it is much easier with them!
